13 y 13: Emerging Chicana/o Artists of Los Angeles (2004)

This was a large group show with 26 Chicana/o artists participating. I showed my first Table of Things at this show, and was particlarly interested in showing my collection as something magical or dreamlike. Glass shards, drawings and sunglasses made of broken beer bottles were among the items on this table. A garland of drawings above the table told a loose narrative that related to the objects below. I wanted the objects on and behind the table to be read in many different ways, as comic book style narrative, as map of the city, as floorplan or ridiculous frozen performance. read the statement for this table
