Trance Awake: Monsters of Los Angeles (2004)

In spring 2004, Adrian Rivas of Gallery 727 invited me and S. Ian Song to put together a two person show which we called Trance Awake. My half of the exhibition, called Monsters of Los Angeles, was a multimedia installation made up of cardboard simulations of car parts, hallucinating plaster babies on a tall, slightly rasquache perch, large eighteen foot high wall drawings of cherubim and two blankets with found and created objects placed upon them.

Monsters of Los Angeles was made up essentially of objectified traces and memories of absurd wandering through industrial areas of Los Angeles. This wandering was later taken up by this guy.
