Your body thinks with its body If you find your mind and body in the room, are there two things present or three things present? "I grew up with no 10,000 year connection to tradition or land. I come from a wiped history. My parents started a project that was partly an attempt to reclaim an indigenous part of themselves, trying to create a whole life from some phrase or rumor. What I got from them, from that project of liberation and love, was also like a phrase, something layered and startling, like something found on the floor, soemthing remaining when we're moving houses and all the furniture is cleared and everything is disarrayed and quiet--a small object that never gets nearer. Like having one of those dreams where you think something on the floor is a concrete object, but as you try and get closer, move around it for a better view, it never changes, it has no relation to space or your own position. What they constructed was something like Walking on the River, Long Straight Hair and Beard, Leather with Tassles, Vietnam Veterans Returned and Spaced, Batted by Multi-Level Violence State and Personal, Tenderness and Love, Forest, Bacon and Gasoline, Me and Baby Brother, Long Hair and No Shirt, Violence After Kids Are Asleep, Zonked, Tight Chests and Heads Up and Glancing Down and Smiling, Knee High Leather Boots, Turquoise Jewelry, So Much Love, Anxiety and Contentedness, Willingness to Survive and Love One Another, Dedication to Love and Survival. There's more but I get tired just feeling it all." - The Chicano Miles Davis |

Anxiety washes against contentedness Dreams* wash against history Your 10,000 foot long golden body probably washes against your small and fragile flesh-body, do you have the ability to verify that? |
